The New Spurgeon’s Devotional Bible. Much better than most read thru the Bible in a year. I have purchased several versions of “read the Bible in a year” bibles from chronological to one reading a day, to bibles that makes you travel all over it to read three passages a day. This devotional bible is very different in that there is a running dialogue,( always been a fan of Spurgeon) and if I could get in a time machine I would travel to the1800’s London just to sit in on just one of his sermons. This book is so compelling, I’ve had it for five days and I can’t put it down ,it’s like he’s right there over your shoulder speaking to you. I love that after 200 years God is still useing this mans ministry, what a legacy —DH
The New Spurgeon’s Devotional Bible. It is just what my soul needed. I got the kindle edition because the book is printed in 12 pt which is exceptually small print for old eyes. but I am loving the devotional. as we go along starting with Genesis he will interject appropriate passages from the new textament or Psalms that go along with that passage . He will explanes what the passaged means to the Christian. And always and in everything he sees God. This devotional draws me closer to our precious Savior. Just what I was longing for. —Cassie
The New Spurgeon’s Devotional Bible. My most favorite devotional. I love this devotional so much. It’s a two year plan so you can read your daily scripture and the commentary in less than 15 minutes. Mr. Spurgeon’s commentary on the verses for the day are outstanding and I find myself highlighting them throughout. I have purchase at least 5 copies from Amazon to give to friends after I let them page through it and see in their eyes how much they love it. I have other devotionals but this is the one is my favorite. —DD
The New Spurgeon’s Devotional Bible. Wonderful devotional Bible. I had no idea what this devotional Bible was going to be like and it has been a very nice surprise. I love Charles Spurgeon and this is a 2 year Devotional Bible. I am very happy that I got it and know that I will thoroughly enjoy reading this Bible every day for 2 years. I highly recommend it to anyone who wishes to learn what the bible is all about, it has a lot of insight and commentaries between the verses which makes it so much easier to understand. Great for any beginner or even more seasoned bible reader. Definitively worth having. —Ruby S
The New Spurgeon’s Devotional Bible. Such a blessing. I was initially quite shocked by the weight of this; at 1.3kg it’s bigger and heavier than any of my Bibles. However, I soon forgot about this issue once I started using it for my daily Quiet Time. I had already been using the KJV version online but I was struggling with the old English. I’m so pleased that I bought this, I much prefer reading it in the ESV version. I am really appreciating the fact that I’m now using a Daily Devotional that is mostly Scripture with a small amount of inspirational teaching from C. H. Spurgeon. The New Spurgeon’s Devotional Bible. Awesome Way of Reading the Bible. With commentaries and scriptures laced into each pertinent themes of the Holy Bible, having the thoughts of Charles Spurgeon mixed into your reading of Genesis, Leviticus, and all the Gospels is a treasure. The Church of Jesus Christ may not be here for much longer, but for all new Belivers, this is a great way to read through the entire Bible in 2 years. Highly Recommend listening to his sermons on the tube too. —Barbara H.
